The project Linguistic Networks is part of the Priority Program Wechselwirkungen zwischen Natur- und Geisteswissenschaften of the German Federal Ministry of Education (BMBF). This research project develops an integrated theory of the laws of linguistic networking. It brings together natural sciences – on behalf of stochastic physics – and the humanities – on behalf of linguistics. The project develops instruments for the analysis and synthesis of networks which relate information processing with social networking and their linguistic means – beyond of what has been done so far in complex network theory.
